It is generally accepted that Kemosabe means "Trusted Friend" or "Faithful Friend" and Tonto's name means Wild One.Steve, Christa, Emily, Meghan, Charles & Elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08969363530353507392noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1838884300056139535.post-46593109390361998832013-01-16T06:49:47.358-08:002013-01-16T06:49:47.358-08:00http://www.old-time.com/misc/kemo.htmlhttp://www.old-time.com/misc/kemo.htmlBaqashhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02306034401135147664noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1838884300056139535.post-7314565295356708012013-01-16T03:23:22.102-08:002013-01-16T03:23:22.102-08:00This is how I've understood it.
Tonto is Spani...This is how I've understood it.<br />Tonto is Spanish for stupid or fool. Tonto, (not so tonto), responded calling the Lone Ranger "qui no sabe", which translates from Spanish to he who knows nothing.<br />And now an appropriate joke.<br />The Lone Ranger and Tonto went camping in the desert. <br />After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound asleep. <br />Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe, look toward sky, what you see?" <br /><br />The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of stars." <br /><br />"What that tell you?" asked Tonto. <br /><br />The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions<br />of galaxies and potentially billions of planets.<br />Astrologically, it tells me that Saturn is in Leo.<br />Time wise, it appears to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning. Theologically, the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant.<br />Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow.<br />What's it tell you, Tonto?"<br /><br />Tonto is silent for a moment, then says,<br />"Kemo Sabe, Ssomeone's stolen our tent.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17162556386129035707noreply@blogger.com
